The only issue is that skeletons are slow as molasses, but who cares when nothing can stop you? The only real danger at this point are blood spiders, who will gleefully fuck up your day if you fail a spot check. I’ve used this feature already when I fought a too-big group of Swamp Ninjas - I went down with only three of them remaining, got up, healed myself up, caught up to them and promptly finished the job.
CATUN VS SKELETON FULL
Not to mention how pretty much all enemies (except starving bandits, which became my least favourite enemy to fight for this exact reason) around the Border Zone and Swamp do cut damage, which means that even if you do lose and get knocked unconscious then you can instantly heal up to full and be ready for the next battle. You can literally stand there and take on a group of 10 ninjas, have most of your attacks be blocked, and still come up on top cause when you do land a hit it’s gonna hit half of them at once for like 50 points The Swamp goes from a deadly area to explore to a playground - those Swamp Ninjas can’t land a hit that does over 10 damage against. Coupled with the skeleton’s 200 HP at a period where good armour is hard to come by means that my solo skelly can last far, far longer in fights that 2-3 unarmoured humans would against similar odds.

Massive Aoe damage that just decimates Starving and Dust bandits that try to gank the skeleton, and which skyrockets at an exponential rate (seriously, after the first few fights I was already at Heavy Weapons and Melee Attack 30 and Melee Defence 40).

After you get your first few beatdowns and get your toughness and melee defence up a bit, the Falling Sun just starts to shred early game foes. I feel like a skeleboi with a Falling Sun is utterly unstopable in the early game. Mined some iron and ran between Squin and Hub until my strength was about 30. Went to Squin, mined copper till I got 20k (lucked out with some dust bandit bounties too which gave me a 7k boost), and picked up a Catun 1 Falling Sun. I’ve been mostly running MA or a mix of MA/hackers/sabres in my previous runs, so I decided to give heavy weapons a go. I downloaded the skeletons subraces mod, picked the MkI Screamer (that toaster head looks cool as hell), and off I went I decided to rectify that, and give an all-skeletons run a go. So I’m still a Kenshi newb (only got around 150 hours), and I haven’t really gotten around to using skeletons yet (well, my very first run was a skeleton named Zobot, but that ended after a few hours when I went exploring, ran into Stack, and promptly got hacked to pieces)
